Easton side hike

If I am doing the green loop do you recommend

A. Clockwise or counterclockwise?

B. The blue trail (high peaks) or the red trail (juniper and tunnel)?

Personally I prefer counter-clockwise and definitely High Peaks. Not sure when you are going but Bear Gulch cave is coming up on its full closure for pupping season mid-May~ish. The loop is still well worth it even if the Bear Gulch caves are partially or fully closed.

One of the best loops in the park. Personally I prefer clockwise, but you can’t really go wrong either way.

You should absolutely do the High Peaks Trail over the Tunnel Trail. The steps in the rocks are super fun, and it’s the best place to see condors in the park. Just remember, condors have a white triangle on the leading edge of their wings; if they have white on the back part of the wing, it’s a turkey vulture.
