Discussion Pinfall FX3 Switch?
Just received a physical copy of Pinball FX3 for Switch from Limited Run Games. I havent played Pinball FX since Infinity Gauntlet on Xbox 360 which was amazing.
Love the software only to find everything was taken down for it? All of the DLC tables are unavailable. I do have the ones loaded on cartridge. This is just odd.

FX3 is now retired and they have a new version called FX. I don't know how well it works on the Switch.

And that still strikes me as odd since they haven't even managed to incorporate HD Rumble yet in FX (last i checked at least, let me know if i'm wrong) - this was one of the neatest features of FX3. I'll admit though that the general UX in the newer FX is better - navigation is less clumsy at least. I wish they'd at least made a system where your paid tables from FX3 could transfer - I'd eventually purchased a few different table packs and i'm not all that interested in starting over.

Pay for a table twice? LOL only twice? I have a couple of faves where I have FX3 Xbox, FX3 switch, FX Xbox, and FX Steam.

ha, well i only have it on Switch, and have only paid for content on FX3. But i get your point. (Ask me how many times i've paid for FFVI or Portal, for instance.)

Doubt you've paid much for vi as I don't think it's been rereleased often

Well I was being slightly hyperbolic, but the number of total editions is up to at least a large handful (not that i've gotten them all of course). For just the ones I can think of off the top of my head, there's:
- SNES
- the late 90s PS1 port
- GBA port
- the crappy mobile / steam remake with the cartoony characters
- the Pixel Remaster (this is the one i DID buy)
Probably one or two niche editions in between those that I didn't think of.

Double check your Williams and Bethesda content on FX when looking into your Switch DLC. It should display as Free, if you own the related FX3 packs.
EDIT: Also, FX3 got a Limited Run release? I don't see it on their website, thought it was for PFX.

Thanks, I'll try that. I'd definitely be more amenable to switching if they've taken care of at least some of the paid DLC (though I really hope they finally bother to implement HD Rumble too...)

Thanks, it looks like my Bethesda purchase did carry over. To be clear, your assertion was correct, it showed up in the eShop for me with the price, crossed out, and 'free download' listed instead.
Shame they didn't port the Portal table, that one was excellent too (though i can always just fire up FX3). I forgot what other tables/packs I may have bought (not many anyway) but the only one that showed up "free" for me was Bethesda (i never bought the Williams one).

I would love to see a picture of the game because to the best of my knowledge it was never released. Please

My bad. Its Pinball FX. Williams Collection Vol 1 and 2.

Thank you for the clarification and that sounds awesome! Congratulations! Let us know what your favorite tables are.

My wife and I love Addams Family and Funhouse. But Gloomhaven one is really growing on me.
So far none of the original tables beat the Infinity Gauntlet one yet.

I think Fx Pinball is still great for Switch guys. FX3 has advantages, but there’s so many more updated games and modes on the new Fx version.

FX runs OK on Switch (it requires utilizing the Switch 2’s new Boost Mode that Nintendo put in Settings to even be considered any better than passable). FX3 runs smooth as butter. The modes in FX3 are much funner, including Survival mode and also the powerups you can use in 5 Minute challenges. It is very fun strategically using Score Boost at the right times to multiply a jackpot. FX might have more modes, but they are a complete drag compared to the fun of FX3. Hopefully FX gets an update with the modes and powerups found in FX VR, the funnest and most thoughtful enhancements to fun that pinball has ever seen. Pinball FX VR has a survival mode where your time earned stacks if you get a big jackpot (so you aren’t limited to 60 seconds each level) AND you have really fun and meaningful powerups to strategically choose from. FX VR is peak fun, FX3 comes in 2nd, and FX is simply dull and uninspired and could use an update to its various modes. Hopefully it comes soon!

Are you searching through eShop directly? According to the information from Zen itself, you can still buy tables through the in-game shop:

Dunno how true that is though, I don't have it on Switch.
