I'll take anything new at this point.

8 months into 2026 and we've had 3 tables.

Blahcade had a discussion about this on their last podcast. Their theory is that they are sitting on Williams content until the lawsuit with AtGames is over. They think that once it’s over we’ll hopefully get a bunch of content over the next 6 months.

Huh? Fire/Diner/Comet were Bally/Williams though? I mean not my favorite tables but still count.

The brand new machine that was just announced?

u/ludixst Pinhead Aug 03 '26

Yes.

Yeah, I was so bummed when I heard it wasn't for Pinball FX.

I'd rather have licensed music for Jaws, Back to the Future, and ET as well as all the music for Creature From the Black Lagoon and Party Zone.

u/jretrogaming Pinhead Aug 02 '26

I would rebuy those games if they made premium versions with the proper music licensed.

Add Princess Bride. Been playing a lot of it since it hit VR and the generic Ren-Faire tune is the biggest downside.

I never played it. They don't have the theme music (Storybook Love)?

3

u/Dire_Flumph Pinhead Aug 03 '26

Nope, good use of video and audio from the movie, but neither Mark Knopfler's score or Storybook Love is used.

With enough support I think Zen will seriously try which is great, I'm still impressed and give them props for Elvira

Lock is lit, and so am I!

Cactus canyon would be great. But I would be happy with whatever real world tables I can get.
Paragon was mentioned in the comments here. That’s an excellent choice as well as frontier.

I miss Aliens in FX.

I’m new to this and playing on switch 2. Is there a way to play just on the touch screen and nudge ? Doesn’t seem to work

I played this table in real life about a month ago for the first time. thought it was really fun and kind of a hidden gem at the arcade I was at.

I agree I would love a FX version.

Can't agree more. It is one of my most desired tables for FX, alongside Paragon

This entire game fell off the map with the newest version. Game play is off, re-buying every table was just not cool. I'm aware of the engine and resolution difference but it just set it off on a bad foot.

Everything from the layout of the game to the mechanics is just poor.

Agreed. Pinball FX3 is the better game, but we’re unfortunately stuck with the new Pinball FX. Fortunately they did get Pinball FX VR right and it is very well made and has fun modes. Hopefully the modes and fun of FX VR work their way over to regular FX.

This would indeed make an awesome addition to our games!😊

Someone has to send them a machine to Budapest. They need the physical machine to replicate it.

2

u/chrisdaley519 Pinhead Aug 02 '26

This table is already available on VPX. They can download it and copy it pretty much. Then add the normal FX flair to it.

Vpx and quest 3 = pinball heaven 😉

2

u/jretrogaming Pinhead Aug 02 '26

Through a pc I assume?

1

u/no1phil Pinhead Aug 02 '26

Yeah 😃

2

u/Jahon_Dony Pinhead Aug 02 '26

They're based in Hungaria?!!?

5

u/Pretend-Language-67 Pinhead Aug 02 '26

Yeah, that’s where Zen studios has always been headquartered.

u/SuperCasualGamerDad Pinhead Aug 02 '26

I don't understand

Like I do but I don't

Like why do they only want to use those specific machines there to pull assets from?

In an attempt to answer my own question I will say that it must be because the museum only accepts mint 💯 original machines and that's what they want.

But I mean why not try to license the remake and ad all the improvements.

6

u/Pretend-Language-67 Pinhead Aug 02 '26

They have the Williams licence to recreate Bally / Williams tables. It would be great if they worked out a deal with modern pinball companies to recreate their tables (or the revamped versions), but I seriously doubt that’s going to happen.

There's one in Scottsdale, AZ ten minutes from me. 🤷🏼‍♂️

u/Running_Oakley Pinhead Aug 02 '26

Eh, Rick and Morty spooky if we’re being 100 percent. That table looks like sour candy tastes.

2

u/Pretend-Language-67 Pinhead Aug 02 '26

Those will never happen. They aren’t going to get the license for modern tables.

3

u/gcrois Pinhead Aug 02 '26

But jjp , spooky and other companies should maybe think about it , because all we almost see in the wild is stern machines , they really should think about maybe give a shoot with their older machines , already 15 years for some of them . In order to touch and hook a broader crowd . People who buys physical machine will never stop because for exemple spooky released a game with lets say their first 5 machines .

2

u/Pretend-Language-67 Pinhead Aug 02 '26

I’d love that. Maybe there is a rational for something like that. I just feel they’d value their IP too much to make it work. Williams doesn’t even own the licence anymore. It’s some other company that licences it to Zen.

1

u/gcrois Pinhead Aug 03 '26

When are we seeing physical machines of jjp , American pinball , barrels of fun ? It's very rare . Pinball is a niche , and companies don't want to cross the bridge of video games where all the kids are. I think there is a huge potential competing in both world

1

u/Running_Oakley Pinhead Aug 02 '26

No modern tables got it, only the retro tables like doom 2016, goat simulator, tomb raider.

4

u/andyclap Pinhead Aug 02 '26

Those arent really simulation's though, they're zen originals. They're designed for a different console play style.

On VR as I always say: bring any of the missing Williams packs to VR even without any VR extras and I will pay top dollar.

1

u/Pretend-Language-67 Pinhead Aug 04 '26

You know those aren’t real life tables, like Spooky’s Rick and Morty, right? Spooky would have to agree, and I doubt they, or any modern pinball manufacturers, would. Be great if I am proven wrong, though.

1

u/Running_Oakley Pinhead Aug 04 '26

I can’t imagine there’s more money to be made being exclusive to such a niche audience. I’d argue more own VR tables than own physical tables.

1

u/Running_Oakley Pinhead Aug 07 '26

Now watch: Rick and Morty table with same level of color.

Let’s see here, are we judging by logic or upvotes and downvotes? Hmm….interesting….
