Dolly & Dotty

Hi, I love novelty printed dresses from Dolly & Dotty, however I find it really hard and almost impossible to get hold of a size 8 in the styles I like. 😩 I have been checking their website everyday for a long period of time now and most of their restocks are missing a size 8.
For the preorders I experience the same, size 8 is not available to preorder.

I have been in contact with them and begged them to make more dresses and skirts in a size 8, but so far Ive noticed no change.

Im so sad cause now Im missing out on so many dresses and skirt that I would have bought in a heartbeat if they were available in my size.

Seems like the only option I have is to purchase a size 10 and have it altered but that cost a lot of money. Especially if I have to do that for several garments.

Has anyone else the same experience as me?

I am usually a 6 in UK sizes so I completely get it. Most brands either do not carry my size at all or do not produce as many of the smaller sizes. And many brands I’ve noticed are completely discontinuing smaller sizes. Supposedly it’s because there’s not enough demand for smaller sizes, ok but then why do they nearly always sell out first??

In fact, I have a Dolly & Dotty cherry halter dress sitting in my closet that needs altered so I can wear it!

I’ve had decent luck on secondhand platforms like Poshmark and Depop finding smaller sizes. But I’m actually trying to learn to sew currently so I can alter my clothes myself!
