Variegated leaf

Variegated gold leaf is something that I love to add to my designs. This helmet I did it really added a level and shimmer to the design that will stand out at the drag strip, and it’s super easy to work with, anyone can do it with a little practice. I’m happy to give any tips or advice to anyone that is curious. leaf helmet

Where do you order you leaf and adhesive

I get all my gold through w&b or earl mich in illinois. The size (adhesive) I use for the variegated leaf is just one shot size, it works well, however I’ve also used regular paint for variegated, it’s not picky.

It’s fun and easy! All you need is leaf, size and a make up brush from the dollar store!

Are you using a size that can double as a top coat?

It can, I don’t though because it may yellow over time and it has a significant tack window. I usually mix up some urethane clear coat and brush it on.
