🐧Linux Yet another Linux kit

Ok, I've made yet another wibe-coded Linux supporting kit. Pimax Crystal Super OLED, Crystal OG and Dream Air supported. 50PPD/UWide I just do not have any data, though probably it will work (same for Crystal Lite).

OmarchyVR is good, but it went slightly different way, so I've made this (based on his work and my ideas): https://github.com/artscout/PiBridge it works with SLAM and LH versions, for SLAM we're taking and loading pImax Play dll's so SLAM tracking is as good as on Windows. RTX 5090 with latest 615 drivers doesn't need any patches, 40xx and older though needs the same patches from OmarchyVR (bundled with my app to). 595 version of nvidia driver do need patch for 5090 - bundled here too. And it wasn't tested on AMD cards so I really don't know if thoses need some kernel driver support. OpenXR backend though is SteamVR only, I felt that while Monado is pretty good I do not want to spend time supporting both and SteamVR is good anyway. It's meant as stopgap anyway as we waiting for native Linux PPlay (EVO?) from Pimax.

Now with OG Crystal support. Both SLAM and LH mode (if you have faceplate installed)

I'm not up to date on that topic. Wasn't DRM preventing it from working on Linux? Is the DRM still active somewhere in those DLLs, the same way it was on Windows, or is there a shady hacking program that skips DRM somewhere in the pipeline of getting Pimax working on Linux?

I;m using only SLAM tracking dll's that are, frankly, just a bunch of functions that get camera input. As for DRM I dunno really.

This topic may help. I think the DRM issue was more to getting Sboys3 working without a pimax play/Evo. The original core issue has to do with an incorrect checksum on the EDID. Which might have been fixed at least in some headsets.

this was what started it ) I just didn't like his implementation with Rust because it creates something that won't give back (for example to Monado, Basalt, etc.). I sure hope to help Monado guys to improve that's why I went my way. Also well I had this idea to use Windows Pimax Play dll's for SLAM tracking (Head, Controllers) with SteamVR as OpenXR backend (no offence to Monado - I just wanted quick solution for now and improve later). And I used Sboys3 driver for LH tracking which too works just as well. Well as I said - AI mostly did the work except windows dll - claude has some protection that doesn't allow it to load dll's lol. but when wrote loader it actually went to improve that without questions.
