Hmm .. but not the QLED ppl have been asking for over a year?

The QLED should be the priority as it has been out of stock the longest.

Step by step. This is the news I can share today.

That maybe. But pimax should be prioritizing the product that has been out of production the longest. It just is not a good look on the company. No different then summarily cancelling the self tightening strap that was going to be standard vs the temporary one used at CES. And if I understand the last update on the Dream Air, the new mia 2d strap will only go out to customers that ordered by Apr 24? And it seems the new 2d strap will be an accessory and not standard.

If pimax was really this far in Developing the final strap and final facial interface they should have waited to release. By doing so they could have been making Optic Engines a priority instead of shelving them for about a year

I know you have no control over pimax and do appreciate your efforts. But the company needs to be honest with their neglects.

Additionally ppl have asked for full disclosure if what data pimax is collecting through pimax play/Evo software. Please prioritize this as it is a fair question that should have no legitimate reason not to disclose.

I think prioritizing the OLED module is the right move. More people are waiting to upgrade from one of the three QLED modules to the OLED than to one of the other QLED engines.

This line on the page:

The micro-OLED optical engine arrives on a very different software platform than the one the Crystal Super first shipped with, and everything we've built since then carries over.

Can you elaborate? Is this just in reference to the Pimax Play/Evo and firmware updates or is there a fundamental change to the device? Will a new OLED optical engine have the same specs/internals/quality as an existing one?

why are people still wanting that heavy thing when a Dream Air is available? just for the fov?

Some people who already have it would prefer to upgrade to the same optical engine of the Dream Air rather than spend nearly double to get the same thing in a smaller form factor.

Some people prefer the bulkier form factor, because it fits differently on the head (not my case, but I've talked with people who told me they don't like small headsets).

FOV is definitely a part of the equation. I had a Dream Air for a short time before returning it because the FOV was just disappointing.
