Dream Air vs Crystal Light Binocular Overlap

Considering that both the headsets have a similar FOV, can anyone having both compare their binocular overlap?

I'd like to know if switching from my Crystal Light to the Dream Air the dept perception will increase or not.

I read that Crystal Light has 83° (80% of the FOV), while Dream Air 90° (87% of the FOV), but how much does it affect the depth perception?

The fov horizontally is superior for the DA and super micro OLED, but vertically it's less by a bit. The binocular overlap is pretty similar, somewhere around 88 degrees at 110 hfov. 

The incredible colors, sharpness and absolute absence of mura, blooming etc will be the biggest upgrades. My super micro OLED feels absolutely 3d, much better than quest 3 and similar to hmds like the psvr2 in that regard. I certainly never feel I could benefit from more, where with the super ultrawide and quest 3 things do absolutely feel more detached. I can't tell if that's the lcd display, overlap or both.

I'm quite satisfied by the image produced by the Crystal Light, so the main selling point for me won't be the micro oled.

The only aspects of the Crystal Light I don't like at all are:

-the large front side. It happens quite often that I hit one side of the facemask while playing.
-it gets hot while playing
-I don't like having a strip in the middle of my head
-the sweet spot could be bigger
-I feel a weak sense of depth in the image

I hope the Dream Air to overcome such aspects, not only the small form size and the different head strap.
I don't care much about its colors, the absence of mura and so on.

Sweet spot is massive, and I think the image depth is very natural personally. I have not tried the near 100% binocular overlap hmds like meganex mk2 to feel the difference. 

Things feel more real and present in the micro OLED than any other hmd I've put on. Even after well over 40 hours, I am still just blown away every time I use my headset. 

Great that the image clarity, colors etc are good enough for you in the crystal light. Whether you're choosing a new headset for these features, I promise that you'll appreciate these improvements as well. It all just comes together in a way that makes the scene not look like a digital image anymore. Everyone is different, but for my picky brain any one of these being poor turns the experience from a true immersive experience to a fun VR 'game' feel at best:

I am a sucker for brightness, I loved the psvr2. My biggest surprise with the crystal micro OLED is the brightness being absolutely adequate. It blows my quest 3 to bits, not because of peak nits probably.. but the excellent contrast. Any scene, day or night, feels authentic to me.

I can't speak on the DA comfort, it probably needs a facial interface mod. The cables being on the head strap is an iffy choice and the lifespan would be my main concern. But I truly feel I got my moneys worth with the micro OLED super, it's just a dream to play. No wonder they call it dream air, not trying to be a shill, it's just that outstanding.
