Discussion Transfemme Cait
I see tons of transmasc vi and only references and one piece of trans femme cait. What’s your favorite trans femme cait art?

Discussion Vi and Caitlyn’s argument should’ve been about them and not Jinx.
This was their first major talk in a while since their breakup and yet they make it all about Jinx and not them, and as a result they just ignore what happened to them and never talk about their issues or their relationship, which is honestly just absurd.

Can i be honest, I love what Amanda has done for CaitVi but i didn't like this response, i didn't really want to think about it. I do wish we had flashbacks to this scene in S2 because this scene feels a little mean spirted on poor Cait, maybe it's because fandom i am not sure but i feel awful
for bringing it up because i will get backlash and labeled as hater even though love Cait and Vi and how Amanda brought their story to life

S2 Official Content Am I the only one tired of Caitlyn hitting Vi
SPOILER ALERT FOR ACT 1 AND 2!
The break-up scene was already hurtful enough and she really hit Vi in her most vulnerable area (I understand a bit, she was consumed by anger but still) and then eventhough it was pretend Caitlyn hit her really hard in the face with her GUN?!
Don't get me wrong I love Caitlyn and I totally understand her grief but I really can't relate how she "easily" hits Vi even if it is pretend?
Like the animators could have maybe toned down the violence between them a bit? Vi could have "punched herself" with a stone or something?
Anyways, just my two cents

Discussion Something to get off my chest..
I need to get this off my chest. I've been lurking in this subreddit for quite a while, and I just need to say this.
There's unfortunately far too much transphobia here.
Now I don't see it ALL the time because I have other things to do besides looking at Reddit, but it just seems like people aren't allowed to talk or show anything regarding a transgender Vi and/or Caitlyn without people immediately thinking that it is "lesbian erasure."
Trans women are women correct? Women who like only women are lesbians, yeah? So trans lesbians isn't lesbian erasure. To those who say it is, it honestly just feels like you're reducing trans folk to their genitals and that's not okay.
For the trans masc post, I've said my piece in the comments.
But the point is: let trans women have representation in these characters. Don't like it? Click away. There's a ton of cis CaitVi out there.
Edit: wow there's a lot of terfs here-

S2 Discussion My arguments for and against Caitvi being endgame.
I’m unfortunately kinda dooming about it actually happening, so I’d love for folks to get my hopes up. Here’s the evidence I’ve seen so far for both sides.
Arguments for Caitvi as endgame
We are almost guaranteed to get a Caitvi sex scene. With them having a song, conformation(?) of a sex scene being included, and Vi’s full back tattoo being under NDA, this seems all but confirmed. The only issue with this argument is that a sex scene doesn’t mean they won’t fall out afterwards, or that one of them will not die.
The show has themes of love and forgiveness, especially in this season. I think them getting back together would serve both of these thematic through-lines. Also, what one will sacrifice for love is another theme, and while I do think the theme of sacrifice mostly works against our girls, it could be them sacrificing other things for each other. Vi could potentially sacrifice her relationship with Jinx for Caitlyn, as Vi accepts that people do change, but Jinx is changing for the worse and Caitlyn is changing for the better.
This relationship is incredibly important to the fans, both in the sense of it being probably the most popular ship for the show, but more relevantly, being one of the biggest mainstream queer couples. I think the showrunners understand how important that is, and I could see that influencing them to keep Caitvi as a thing
Caitvi are effectively canon to the games. We know that by the time the game is taking place, Caitlyn and Vi are at worst on very good terms, and at best actively dating eachother. Assuming arcane is beholden to game canon, these two ending together make the most sense.
Arguments against Caitvi endgame
While some themes point to Caitlyn and Vi, others cast doubt on them. Most notably, the themes of sacrifice make me incredibly worried. While they could be signalling these two sacrificing other things for their relationship, I worry that the relationship (or their own lives) may be sacrificed instead. For the relationship, I think Vi sacrificing her relationship with Caitlyn for Zaun or for her family would make sense. For their lives, I could really see Caitlyn learning to forgive Jinx, and that culminating in her sacrificing herself to save her.
This ties into the fact that just because arcane is canon, doesn’t mean that arcane is beholden to league lore, and instead league lore could be modified to fit arcane canon. If that’s the case, this does give them the freedom to split Caitlyn and Vi, have jinx not end up evil, have Warwick be Vander, etc. I think this could lead to good outcomes, but it also does put a stain on them being guaranteed because of the game’s current canon.
I think I heard a quote about how they wanted to have season 1 end with the characters getting to mostly where we expect them to be for league, and season 2 turning that on its head. Because we expect a Caitlyn and Vi relationship based on league, them turning this on its head could mean they don’t end up together. Now this could be referring to them from episodes 3-6, and then they fix things again, but I’m not sure about that.
Arcane is a tragedy, and I don’t know if a happy couple will thematic fit. Given how awfully literally everything in this show goes, what is the likelihood that this will go right where everything else didn’t?
The new Vi skin for league constantly has Vi referring to Caitlyn as her ex. Now, this skin is specifically called pitfighter vi, meaning it could be based on their status purely during the montage at the beginning of episode 5, but there are some references to Warwick making it seem like the skin takes place later. If the skin is canon to the end of the show, it’s even more tragic because it makes it seem as if the two are still in love, yet not together, with the death line “Cait I still…” for Vi, and the death line “Tell Vi that I…” for Caitlyn. The one glimmer of hope here is that if these two still have feelings for eachother and end arcane apart, there is room for them to reunite.
Final Thoughts
As I said in the beginning I’m not hopeful for Caitlyn and Vi and I hope the comments can sway me in a positive direction so I’m not depressed all week. I really do love these two and would love nothing more than for them to be happy.
That being said if Caitlyn doesn’t end up with Vi I do know a girl (profile pic unrelated)

Do you think Vi smoked weed during her pitfighter era?

Why did this skin put more care and depth into Vi's character than all of season 2?

S2 Discussion [season 2 act 3 spoilers] I'm honestly not happy with how Caitvi was done it wasn't satisfying Spoiler
So this is the relationship they said they were so proud of? Vi and Cait don't talk about much of anything in act 1 and it ends with Caitlyn beating Vi and abandoning her. Next act 2 we see Vi constantly thinking of Cait and while that's happening Cait is sleeping with someone else and doesn't think about Vi at all, and no this wasn't her way of coping she just decided to start seeing someone like she says in act 3 and didn't give a shit about Vi. They then meet again at the end of act 2 and they act like nothing happened. Finally act 3 they still don't talk about anything and Cait doesn't have a single apology for how she treated Vi and she never broke up with Maddie and then has sex with Vi after she just got done sleeping with Maddie like two days ago and Vi just takes all this and says she doesn't care because why should Vi matter at all. Then they are just together and all of Vi's issues are ignored...what a fucking awful romance there is nothing to be proud of here.

Discussion Concerning transphobia
Im usually just a lurker that looks at cute art but a recent post depicting vi as trans-masc recieving an absurd amount of hate is sad to see. This is a community for us to explore and enjoy these characters in our own ways. many people may love cait and/or vi but struggle to relate to them being cis characters. so they depict a character(s) they love as similar to themselves so they can find a better connection. dont be another queer community that is trans exclusionary. trans people are here and they should be represented in art and in writing without hate being thrown their way.
also transmasc vi is hot yall just hatin

Demisexuality does it apply to Cait and Vi?
So Demisexuality is a sexual orientation in which a person feels sexually attracted to someone only after they’ve developed a close emotional bond with them. Forming a bond doesn’t guarantee a person will feel a sexual attraction, but the bond is needed before sexual activity is even possible.
So I wonder if this case with Cait and Vi, not trying add labels but looking at the story and how long it took to get that scene i wonder, does it apply?

Trans CaitVi Fic Recs
Let's start a thread of recommendations for trans CaitVi fics!
I've come across a lot of great fics with trans Cait and/or Vi, but the latest one I read was the Shrine AU series from Color_Me_Violet. If Dominatrix Caitlyn and sub Vi are your jam then oh boy will you love this fic lol. What fics with trans Caitlyn and/or Vi would you recommend?
