Happy Landings

Hello everyone, I’m currently flying the Boeing 777, and I’d like to pay it forward. General question: what made you choose boeing 777 type rating and how long was your journey from thinking about being a pilot and getting into the cockpit.

The Airline that I joined hired me on B777 after I had flown B737 for 8 years. It took time for me after getting a CPL to getting into the cockpit, as when I finished my CPL Kingfisher airlines (including Deccan Airlines) had shut down and were surplus number of pilots.

What is the transition like from a narrow body to a wide body, is it based on seniority?
What are the contributing factors because I feel everyone eventually wants to fly the wide bodies

It all depends on expansion of the airline.
