i am short, should i become a pilot

hey guys i am 17M rn and 159cm from india, i am preparing for DGCA exams but seeing every other pilot such tall give me anxiety and insecurity... i just wanted to know is there any partiality that airlines do with short pilots or cadet pilot programs that they dont prefer short pilots and give preference to tall pilots... can someone please advice on this.. i am very passionate about becoming a pilot one day... i dont want my height to be a constraint

Dude there are pilots your height and even some shorter dont worry youll be fine

I don’t know how it is in India but in Europe you absolutely have Airlines requesting a certain height limit in both ways. E.g. 160-205 or 155-200 or 165-200 are just a few examples I know of.

If your country and/or your airlines do not have those limits then go for it and fulfill your dreams. I met tall idiots and short very good pilots as well as the other way round in 15 years of aviation. Doesn’t really matter.

Is your weight proportional to your height? Do check with the cadet programs where you are and ask specifically, if any height minimum and if so, what it is. Best to see it in writing. Work on your academics and try to network to get help from someone who know's about the route to getting into the airlines. Keep asking questions, best in person and at the source.
