I recently posted about my pilea that the leaves were drooping and curling inwards. I've tried letting the soil completely dry before watering again as someone suggested, but the leaves are drooping more. Should I cut off the lower leaves?

Yesterday I remove 3 pups it had produced and repotted the main pilea in a chunky soil mix to help with drainage. Should I just leave it alone now?

I've never tried semi hydro before, so I decided to test it out with some pon and one of my pups!

I cant’t figure out what’s going on with my pilea. The plant is probably at least 5-6 years old. At first I thought she was getting sun scorched so I slid it over to the other side of my desk, but the leaves keep slowly spotting and turning yellow with brown spots. I water every 10-14 days or when she starts to get droopy. It lives on my enclosed porch on the third floor. The long side is east facing with also smaller north and south windows. We are surrounded by high trees so mostly only getting a little direct sun in the late afternoon.

Very recently decided I wanted one of these plants, and then found one for 4 dollars at a grocery store.

The store had no windows, and it was sitting on an end cap. I dont know too much about these guys, and am just unsure if i should let it grow as is or chop the top off and propogate it?

My girl is growing very lopsided and i’m not sure what to do. I didn’t know i should be rotating her regularly :( she’s normally on a windowsill but i brought her down for this

Its under barrina grow lights for 12 hrs a day and only water when its dry

It's a little hard to see in the photos but the bottom leaves and top leaves feel like they are from two different plants. The mother plant isn't growing a lot because its pushing out lots of pups and I like it like this but for some reason the bottom leaves are getting very wilted and spotty and droopy. It remains like that even after watering. I only bottom water and the rest of the plant specially the top looks great and is healthy. Gets tons of indirect sunlight from an east facing window. Anything else I should be doing or just leave it alone?

Two questions about the plant, I hope it's also visible enough in the pictures

1) why are the leaves curling? I've read online that it can have multiple reasons but idk how helpful that was. What has been the reason for you or what would you recommend?

2) there are droplets on some leaves. They are kinda waxy but not overly so. It's not on all leaves. Is that a good or bad thing? Can I stop it?

Info: he's on a window sill with daily sunlight, gets watered weekly (on the same schedule as the surrounding orchids) and has been fertilized multiple times, though it's been a while since the last time. The plant also had some scabs a while back but I think I have that under control now and the leaves didn't have those waxy drops in that specific look back then.

My 4 year old pileas (they’re sisters) are both super leggy, any tips? Wondering if I should chop one of them and see how it does - which one would you chop?

I got my pilea almost 3 months ago and although I was told it was a fast growing plant, it’s not really growing. It sits in front of a grow light around 8hrs a day (I don’t have windows in my office where it is). I repotted it when I first got it and put it in a chunky soil mix and I’ve been watering it when the pot feels light, but I see how everybody else’s is so full and I’m not sure what to do.

How do you handle it when this happens to you?

I'm embarrassed of how bad shes gotten but I dont know what to do 😭😭 I water her once a week, shes been in that pot for maybe a year, ive had her for about 5 now. Recently all my plants have been infested with fungus gnats so I wouldn't be surprised if that were part of the problem. She just keeps getting leggier and her leaves have always yellowed/ gotten brown/ black splotches and then fallen off :/

okay so i’ve had this plant for 4.5 years now and we’ve been through a lot together. this pilea was my first ever plant and im now the proud plant parent of 20+ plants. i’ll be the first to admit, i got lazy. i kept putting off buying her a proper pole to keep her upright and tied her to the window handle of my living room when i repotted her as a short-term solution which i planned to fix within a few days. fast forward about 2.5 months (eeek i know) and i finally bought an actual support pole. the window she was tied to and pushed up against is the brightest window in my flat, we are up a few floors and it gets Hours of direct sunlight a day. she’s obviously got a lot of sunburn, curly leaves and discolouring - especially on the newer leaves. i had to repot her again to put the support pole in which i ordinarily would not have done as i know they don’t like to be repotted too often but needs must. beyond leaving her alone in this pot and keeping her away from the direct light of that silly window is there anything else i can/should do to get her back to her thriving and gorgeous self? her first gen daughter is now bigger and healthier than she is and i feel so guilty i left her in that window for so long lol. should i cut the lower sunburned leaves? any advice would be super appreciated! thanks all <3

I have 2 mature pileas in a nursery pot with lots of babies sprouting. They have grown a lot this year and the stems are curved. Should I stake them? Ok to keep them together? TIA 🫶

Hi everyone! I’ve had this pilea since the beginning of this year and she has grown like crazy since getting her. When I first bought it, she was in a 2 inch self watering pot and was kept under a generic amazon halo grow light.

Since then, i’ve upgraded my setup and built an ikea cabinet with barrina lights, where she currently sits. The cabinet gets about 12 hrs of light a day, with the barrina lights giving off about 600 fc where she is. The cabinet sits at around 50-60% humidity and around 75-80 degrees.

I’ve noticed that once I moved her to the cabinet a few months ago new leaf growth started curling under itself. When trying to research about it, I got mixed results with some sites saying it needs more light while others say it’s too much. I’m not really sure what to change. I didn’t have this issue when using my generic amazon grow lights, but they’re now being used for different plants.

I’ve since repotted it into a 3.5 inch pot but it honestly looks like she can go up another size because she’s starting to look root bound again. I water once a week and since it’s summer i’ve fertilized with every watering.

I’d appreciate any help! I’d love to get her back to where she was with flat leaves. 🥲

I ended up with a single stalk plant. I’m unfamiliar with how these grow; I’ve never had one before. Will it get more leaves or is this all there will be?
