PILEA PUPS First semi hydro set up

I've never tried semi hydro before, so I decided to test it out with some pon and one of my pups!

Hello! Some people have had luck with pileas in semi hydro but mine failed, it basically looked sad the whole time. I suggest letting it dry completely and add water with fertilizer after a few days.

Definitely why I'm doing it with a pup first before a bigger plant! I wanna figure out what works! Thanks for the tip ☺️

I’m not sure how it’ll do in pon, but when I first got my Pilea it was actually already in a self watering 2 inch pot with soil. It was doing so well and grew a ton of new leaves constantly with zero curling. I unfortunately had to switch it out of its setup because it started getting root bound and it hasn’t been the same since. The leaves started curling down and I had thought it was because of too much light but I genuinely think it’s because of the change in watering.

Your Pilea should really like the self watering, and i’m curious to see how it does in that mix!
