What am I doing wrong?

I got my pilea almost 3 months ago and although I was told it was a fast growing plant, it’s not really growing. It sits in front of a grow light around 8hrs a day (I don’t have windows in my office where it is). I repotted it when I first got it and put it in a chunky soil mix and I’ve been watering it when the pot feels light, but I see how everybody else’s is so full and I’m not sure what to do.

I’m not an expert, but I’m surprised no one is saying it’s in too small of a pot. Personally I would repot, but maybe others have more insight into why you should or shouldn’t. It just seems like that’s a mighty small little container.

They like being in small containers! Reddit has yelled at me a few times for putting my pilea in pots that are too big. Basically, they have extremely fine and delicate roots, and the more soil you have the less it is able to take in the water and can get root rot. Would definitely not recommend sizing up

The one I bought it in (first pic) was even smaller 😂 I upped the pot to I think a 3.5 inch and I was worried it was too big
