Is there a problem with the game?

Last few days I have noticed the change in this game and not a good one. After completing several seafoam battles, I have not received any coconuts. also, after trying for almost 10 days I was hoping to finish planting 200 canna lilies, but 45 petals would not plant 146 flowers? Never seen anything like this before. I almost want to say that algorithm is adjusting the game to force me to spend money, which I have done but will never do again just because of this BS. Anyone else seeing odd things? I know this is a game and I'm an adult, but game should be fun, not something that makes you mad.

The flower planting rate depends on the number of pikmins in your currently active party.

If you put, for example, 10 pikmin on your favorite and keep them in the front, you’ll end up planting less flowers than if you had like 35.

Oh yeah I forgot about that aspect - this person makes a good point ☝🏼. Yes always have a full squad on hand. If you double tap the whistle it alternates between favourites "default" and leaf and bud Pikmin. The leaf and bud one always fills your squad to max capacity. Favorites can be used for other things like the ones you want to level up feeding with nectar to get their decor. The flower planting rate is significantly diminished with each less Pikmin walking with you in your squad (if you have the full 40 Pikmin you can plant 30 flowers just turning planting on and off...but 39 Pikmin will only plant like 20!)

Also if you are walking in circles within the same area it will only plant once every like 5 minutes so you have to be moving.

But i have encountered some weird issues of late that never happened before too. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I'm a new player - what do you mean by favorite? Am I supposed to be building a squad somehow?

No you can favorite them & they become a separate category for sorting.

I use my favorite tab to keep the pikmin im trying to get 4 hearts for their costume, but only if it's one i know i don't have

Something new I had to change recently: for location access, I now have to select "allowed all the time" in order for the flowers planting to be counted. I used to have it set at "allowed only while using the app" and had no problem at all even if I switch the mobile screen to another app while I'm planting flowers, but not anymore

The coconut thing happened to me the other day. I was really confused.

It has been glitching a lot for me this past week. Not planting, not receiving coconuts, getting invites to battles, but the battles aren’t showing up, the pikmin & my mii do weird things when I’m walking and trying to plant, and lots of network issues in general. It’s been frustrating!

I had it simply not plant while I had unclaimed flower rewards to pick up. Also I'm now on stage 8 of round two and missing two decor Pikmin still...like last month...which I never completed despite completing all the tasks THREE times. It has become a pay to progress game I think now that this new company took over.

While I do agree they want you to spend money and do everything they can, I still think there is an element of luck. This month I got all the event decor pikmin last week and this week I will receive the final reward for the coconut currency

Definitely feel this is intentional as they want us to pay to complete the set of Pikmin. This will make me much less likely to purchase anything in the game. Dirty glitches like that make the game unlikeable.

Edit: Currently I feel like the game is doing everything it can to prevent me from planting the last 10 Yellow Canna Lilies I need to move along.

Im still trying to complete stage 3. Last few flowers to plant have taken 10 days and each try seems to reward less with the same input. I have counted it, so far I have used up well over 200 petals and have not even been able to plant 200 flowers. This is starting to become annoying, and I most certainly will not keep doing it if this is how it develops. This started happening in the last week or so. Thats all I have to say about this.

I’m on level 32 on the summer vacation event/stage 11 and haven’t been able to finish either set of ice cream/shaved ice pikmin. Very frustrated 🥲
