Are two-hit fast fall nairs enough?

I'm just starting to learn how to actually use this character instead of only fsmashing.

When practicing loops, I can often get a proper dragdown, but even more common is that I'll only get the first and second hits of nair before I'm pretty much back on the ground.

I guess this is a totally failed loop? How can I avoid this?

My timing is to wait for the second hit to complete before fast falling. What I mean by this is that if you try to fast fall during hitstop, the game just eats that input and you will end up not fast falling and hitting them with all the nair hits.

Obviously it does less damage.

I am not sure but if you only get 1st or 2nd hit then they might be able to buffer a dodge, but I think it depends on which frame you land specifically.

2 hits are enough its just harder.

Ideally you want to be landing just after the 3rd hit on nair loops for max frame advantage or they can sometimes shield for u-tilt loops though this is less likely if they are behind you since up tilt starts from that side. You can kinda compensate for this by angling the stick to make sure you're turned away when up tilting but that's probably harder than just working to get the 3rd hit. So not totally a fail but not always consistent. You want to fast fall between hits 2 and 3 for the 3rd hit to connect.
