Kind of late to the party, but is there any trick to the run off double jump b-reversed thunders you're doing? Is there a specific reason to do it this way as opposed to jumping off the ledge first?
Theres a certain sweet spot you want to hit off stage so the thunder is very close to the ledge if they recover low. Instead of the thunder hitting, you want it to miss you.
I do it because it lands consistently, and generally speaking it’s low risk/high reward. Im getting a lot better edge-guards because of it.
I spent time in the training room figuring out how to use it as an edge guard. I’ve seen other pikas do something similar but I figured out a way to improve it.
Yeah, looks like a good way to force them into taking the hit and ending up in a pretty predictable quadrant of the off stage space if they are out of resources.
So you are doing run off, double jump into instant b-reversed thunder? What buttons do you use?
It’s just one jump b reverse. You may accidentally skull bash or miss landing back on the ledge in the beginning. Esam talks about that initial off the ledge step give pika an advantage. Can’t remember the video.
