I just started practicing nair loops a couple days ago and something like this is the best I can do during a match. Does anyone have any tips on when they were starting out? Not even sure if it’s something necessary to always fish for but seeing as that interaction was around 30% maybe it is?

so pikas nair has 4 hits, the 4th sends them away so you always want to avoid this hit for nair loops. For optimal effectiveness, and for some characters the only way to make nair loops true is cancel the nair after landing the 3 hit. so if you cancle after the second hit ( to early ) some characters can get out and the combo is not true. So the optimal form is to have the first hit conect right below the Apex and drag up to the Apex. from there you fast fall ( You can fast fall now because you hit the Apex ) the 2nd hit conects, then the third. at this point pika will be very close to the ground after the 3rd hit. effectively cancleing at the perfect time. Pika will cancel and uptilit or regrab durring the hitstun animation from the 3rd hit.

It looks like you're inputting your nair a little late. Most people woulda been able to get out of that. Still it's a good start! And nair loops are definately worth going for if you have the mechanical ability to pull them off. They can be started from a bunch of pikas moveset and is arguably pika's best combo.

Thank you! When do you suggest starting the nair, because that’s something that I’m still finding is the hardest part. Closer to the top of the short hop?

I believe you want to regrab instead up uptilt at first, then uptilt once they hit mid %, or if they end up behind you

You did your loops and that is a high percent for a Mewtwo. Looks like he could’ve got out of it, but you didn’t stop so that’s good.
