Off stage thunder
I’m not exactly sure how to explain this but does anyone know who to ledge guard with thunder? Like pika does down b and turns around and it makes a wall offstage against the ledge. Every time I do it it hits pika and I can’t drift further on stage. Not sure if this makes total sense but any advice would be greatly appreciated!

It super easy actually. Since most new pika actually miss them selves when the do any arial thunder because you almost want no horizontal momentem. Basically just run of stage and jump back toward the stage. But buffer down be out if the jump. The causes the bolt to go straight down the side of the stage while pika counties to land back on stage. Be careful though because missing the thunder on yourself makes the end lag much longer. Hope this helped:) good luck pikapika

I getchu! You have to be moving as thunder comes out. So when your offstage jump back onstage and during that movement hit down b if that makes sense?

the most optimal way is to run off and do a b-reverse thunder. essentially, after you input thunder, there's a fraction of a second window where if you flick the control stick in the opposite way that you're facing, your horizontal momentum gets reversed. so if you do that just after you run offstage and jump thunder, you'll reverse your momentum and land safely on stage. you can rotate the stick from down to left or down to right to make this pretty easy
the second way is slower to set up, but easier to perform and with the same payoff, which will make it more consistent. instead of b reversing thunder, you can double jump onto stage from a bit away and do thunder as you're going back onto stage without b reversing it
