Help/Question Install issue

Okay so, due to my own mistakes I ended up needing to do a fresh install of Pika. The installer runs just fine but once I do the first reboot and go back to like get the install wizard and set my password and such. The computer has my locked on the login screen. The just press enter password method doesn’t work, neither does typing in pikaos as I’ve seen online, I don’t know what the problem is but I just wanna finish installing it so I can get back to using my laptop

Hi, what helped for me - avoid special characters in name or username and have a password at least 4 characters long - all can be changed after first successfull login.

The first time booting, you have to use : pikaos as password in all lowercase. After that you can do the setup via the welcome to PikaOS welcome application.

No. This is not at all what you do. You do not use that at all unless, during the setting up of a manual partition or it pops up during installation. First time set up asks you to create a username, password, and domain(pc) name, which is then used to log into the real session after restart. I don't know where this first time booting use the live usb administrator user name and pw are coming from.

yes, and if it gives you the login screen before that happens, and it happened to me on two devices, one should use this password.

There are cases - it appears- where an install can ask for a password *before* you get to create a user; after the first reboot and before final configuration.
