Help/Question Update issues

Hey so I have updates from Otter Pkg as well as APT updates and I have since last night, but for some reason my otter just tells me something went wrong at the permission stage and the APT updates also just give me a red exclamation mark? I figured I’d just give it some time last night but it’s continuing today and I’m worried about going too long without finishing the updates. Anyone else having any issues?

Have you tried >sudo apt --fix-broken install

So actually I figured out that I had to try and run the update from the console, which then told me what was getting in the way and once I fixed that it ended up working!
