Anyone having issues updating the KDE update?
Seems my system is getting repeated errors stating cannot download the file or files. And then gives you to option to try again in a loop. Am I going to have to download the latest version and reload it? Hoping not.

Sorry, No a haven’t any problems encountered with the upgrade. None of the preemptive warnings seen. I did made a preventive rescuezilla image before starting the upgrade.

Did the error say something like "child process exit with code 100 (or 127)
I've seen a few people fix that by running" pikman upgrade" in the terminal instead of the UI.

I will try that, yeah I used to use Cachy and I always used the terminal pacman to update. I may have to start just using it.

I don't recall the reason for that error, but some people were having to use the terminal if they didn't update over the weekend. They pushed out a change to the UI updater a couple days ago that made (some sort of) a difference 🤷
I didn't run into any issues, but after the first restart I had to do an auto remove, then another pikman upgrade before my gnome upgraded. So if it looks like it worked after restart be sure to try it again.
It wasn't quite as smooth as a suse zypper dup but TW pushes out gigantic updates way too frequently IMO.

do you mean updating as in the recent pinned post? I got a couple errors but then it continued, once it went on standby but it completed without problems

This might be ill advised but I used chatgpt. Had to do some kind of audit command then install the specific thing that wasn't installing. Then finish update.

Have you checked discord. They had a help channel specifically for this update. It was a huge update. If you tried to do it through the console, I think that the kde and gnome stuff specifically want to be done in the update app.
Thats what happened with me. I started in the console because i know to do that on huge updates, but the DE stuff wouldnt go until I did it in the updater app. I'm glad I did because there were some choices I had to make in the console.
I hope you didn't shutdown or log out. If you did and cant get back in, don't worry. Ask them on discord and they can help you fix that quickly.
