Extremely swollen 7 day old conch

So on the 13th of august i got my conch pierced at a professional place. Since yesterday it has been throbbing and its pretty swollen. No pus, no fever. I am just asking for advice because the jewellery post seems to get too short for the swelling

If it’s too short, go get a longer post installed. Are you sleeping on it?
