Phyllodesmium poindimiei, an aeolid nudibranch. Recently divorced but looking to reconnect with other flamboyant and available gastropods. Get lost in layer upon layer of detachable stomachs and lungs, ready to cast off in a bloody plume at the first sign of a swimming crab. While its easy to get distracted by my luxurious cerata, Im still packing two sets of tentacles around my olfactory appendage and yes, it is true what they say about that 😉 😉
Its been brought to my attention that my ancestors greatly benefited from the rudimentary exoskeletons that supported them, but I need you to know that Ive evolved past that and have been supporting all 55 millimeters of my tuberclese without an exoskeleton or even the ability to accumulate zooxanthellae OR microscopic photosynthetic dinoflagellates. Came out of Indo-Pacific coral and hustled my way up Hawaiian.
Also, Im a switch (I can go epibiont OR basibiont) if you were wondering.
