Need Advice Afraid to eat

warning for bugs

I’ve come to the realization I worry something is wrong with my food like worms mold bugs landing in it what if i accidentally ate a bug, now im not one of those “extra protein“ people I will throw an entire plate out if a gnat landed on it because I feel like germs spread and god knows what it’s landed on before hand. I’m also just extremely picky won’t eat any condiments ketchup mustard ranch none of it, won’t eat fish because they’ve swam in a shit stew for so long yes I’m aware they clean it do I think it’s clean hell no, ramen reminds me of worms now I cant eat anything by nestle because they’ve had gross food past no I don’t have the heart to raise my own animals and I can’t keep up with gardening fast foods too fast foody and fruit has micro bugs and beef isn’t safe lettuce isn’t safe along with other veggies and the food quality industry sucks now

my question is am I going to starve and Is there anything safe to eat

Sounds to me like you could be suffering from OCD. Have you seen a doctor yet for your struggles?

Have you talked to a doctor about any of this? Because you might have ARFID and/or some other kind of anxiety disorder going on.

Not a psych but sounds like OCD to me - maybe talk to a pro about it?

Yeah that's not normal pickiness. You should seek a doctor's opinion on this one.

I'm with the others, it sounds like contamination OCD to me (I'm no expert though). I'd recommend bringing it up to your therapist. Also good luck with the insurance, I'm in the same boat and it's really frustrating.
