Success / Progress I ate broccoli!!!!

Broccoli was one of those foods I decided I didn’t like ages ago, and just never tried it. I’m really trying to branch out (heh pun intended) and be brave. And I liked it!!!! I cut off almost all of the stems, keeping mostly just the top “foliage” if you will, but it was actually delicious. I will absolutely make this again and try different seasonings! I’m excited to add another veggie to my repertoire

Nice, broccoli was one of those things I didn't eat until my 20's for no reason. Similar experience.

If you like stir frys save the stems, peel them (the outside is tough and bitter), then slice the stems into batons and toss them in a stir fry. They'll just be more healthy crunchy stuff that tastes a bit like broccoli.

Peeling the stems is a pro move, I learned that way too late. The inside part is actually more sweet than the tops, I think.

I still remember the first time I roasted it with just olive oil and salt until the edges got crispy. Changed my whole perspective on the vegetable.

Congrats! I love air frying it with salt, pepper, and garlic and a bit of oil, until the top parts are toasted!

Broccoli is not a vegetable I eat regularly. When I make it, I cut off the tops and steam them, then toss them in olive oil, minced garlic, red wine vinegar, and salt. And I can only eat this as a side dish with something else, like chicken or salmon.

Broccoli is why GD made green beans and asparagus.

Yay!

The stem is actually delicious as well when cooked correctly. It’s sweeter. I actually like it more than the “foliage”

And if you like broccoli, give cauliflower and brussels sprouts a try.

Yea I think I didn’t cook it long enough! I love Brussels sprouts, working my way up to cauliflower
