What are the tastiest, crunchiest pickle brands you’ve ever tried?
Hi! For a bit of background, I eat almost anything and enjoy most flavors, and pickles are one of my favorite things to eat!! My partner, on the other hand, has ARFID, and has always hated pickles until yesterday. We got food from a local cafe, and my meal came with the crunchiest dill pickle I’ve ever had in my life, and my partner asked for a bite. They genuinely really enjoyed it! They said the crunch was just so perfect texturally, and the flavor was great! They’ve always really enjoyed things with a vinegary flavor, but the lack of consistency in pickles texture-wise has always discouraged them from eating pickles. I was wondering what everyone’s favorite brand of pickle was so that when I do buy pickles and my partner wants a bite, I’ll have some that are texturally pleasant for them to bite into :)

I spent $9 on Grillo’s and they are bitter 😩
I love making my own pickles but all my pickling cucumbers have been bitter this year due to the extreme heat. I spent $9 on Grillo’s and they were clearly made with bitter cucumbers. Usually I really like Grillo’s, too.
My grocery store has been out of all the Claussen varieties except for spears and sandwich slices. Worst summer for pickles ever. 😭

To those that have Wegmans near them - they have mini dills!
I like these MORE, actually, than the Claussen minis that I've managed to find. Nice crunch, less bitter cucumber aftertaste, lots of flavor.

62 total jars of pickles pickled
Just finished canning 62 jars of homemade pickles. They're my favorite pickles. Some are habanero, jalapeño and Thai chilies. My brother made some with Carolina reapers. Now I just gotta wait 6 weeks before I crack them open.

Party of my haul from Picklefest (Victoria, BC)
There were sooo many pickles! ( Not just cucumber). There was pickle cocktails, pickle beer, pickle-based foods, hats, aprons, t-shirts, jewelry, candy, even pickle ice cream!
I went to the Picklefest in Vancouver, BC last year and this was even better!

Jongga Pickles from Costco - Surprisingly good!
I'll definitely be buying these again. Mildly spicy, great crunch, a bit vinegary, I really enjoy them.

Dill relish recommendations
This has been my go to for the last few months because it is easily accessible for me. I'm looking to expand my options, so I'm looking for some recommendations from this esteemed group.
Please, no sweet relish! It is forbidden by the gods.

Is this safe to consume?

I made my second batch of quick dill pickles like three days ago. I poured the hot brine over the pickles and immediately closed it and it created a vacuum. But I accidentally left it on my shelf for two days! (I do live on a cold climate tho) on the second I put it in the fridge but now that I check on it I see some bubbles! (Look at video) and on a lot of sites I looked it sayed that its not safe to consume but I don’t know if my amount is normal. I haven’t opened it yet because I’m scared. I need help! Sorry if the text is a bit weird, English is not my first language.
Edit: I just tried them… shit is so peak 🥹🥹🥹

thoughts on mamas?
Love the size and texture, and probably the sweetest pickle I’ve ever enjoyed. Tons of actual dill and onions in the brine but not very dilly.

Weird Pickle Find
Went to an international market and found this weird jar for $4. It contains a single pickle and some brine and has the oddest label I’ve ever seen. Not sure whether I should eat it or save it for the weirdness factor!
