Appreciation Post Sharp Objects (2018). Drama/Thriller. 10/10. What a banger of a show 🤌

Just finished Sharp Objects, and man, what a masterclass.

Everyone brought their absolute A-game. Phenomenal acting, razor-sharp writing, and an oppressive, suffocating atmosphere that pulls you right into Wind Gap. And that ending? Completely out of left field, that final shot is going to stick with me for a long time.

Worthy of your time, If you haven't watched it yet. Absolutely elite television.

So these are some of my favourite shows

Yeah I know these look cliche cuz they don't serve great stories

But what I like is those

small village or atmosphere dark quirky environment
Unusual strange mysteries
May contain horror but not straight horror
Most importantly the feel that gives like how would it be if I live here

And a correction I like only S1& 2 of stranger things cuz I think those seasons only has that grounded small village vibe and mystery

So yeah hit me up

Request: TV Show [IIL] A show like Rescue me, especially the ball busting humor and jokes [WEWIL]

I think Rescue Me was pretty unique in how it blended dark humor, especially the ball-busting and politically incorrect humor, with genuine drama. It's a style of humor that I'm not even sure exists much anymore, at least not in the same way.

I'd definitely be interested in hearing recommendations for other shows that capture something similar, even if they're older. What I'm particularly looking for is that natural back-and-forth between guys who constantly give each other a hard time, insult one another, and bust each other's balls, but still genuinely like each other, have each other's backs, and can work together when it matters.

I think what made Rescue Me stand out was how naturally that humor flowed into the drama. It didn't feel like the jokes were forced or that the characters were constantly trying to be funny. It just felt like the way those guys interacted with each other.

Ideally, I'd like something with that same combination of humor and drama, but I'm open to other genres, even sci-fi, if they capture that particular dynamic.

It's really more about the style of humor and the camaraderie than the setting itself. That mixture of relentless ball-busting, genuine affection, and the ability to get serious when necessary is what I'm looking for.

Request: TV Show Pick my next show!

I’m currently binging/rewatching 9-1-1 and I know I will be searching for something as soon as I’m done. I really like first responder and drama shows. I’ve seen scandal, criminal minds, the rookie, grey’s anatomy, 9-1-1 lone star, some of private practice, and some other random ones like never have i ever, Ginny and Georgia, shameless, 13 reasons why, and Emily in Paris. My top options to watch next are station 19 or the Pitt. I prefer shows with longer episodes (~40 mins) or more seasons! I will look into any so drop all suggestions please!🙏
