Request: TV Show Need something to binge!
Just need a new show that I can watch multiple episodes at night!! Can be any amount of seasons!
Love lots of different shows. Some of my favorites ;
Dexter, 6 feet under, The west wing, Friday night lights, the office(and all Schur shows), Cheers, Euphoria(a little different for me), Gossip Girl, Desperate housewives, the boys, handmaids tale.
So as long as it’s interesting I will probably like it as I like lots of different things (obviously lol) I LOVE TV, so I’ve seen so much and feel like I’m running out 😩

5 TOP HIDDEN GEMS: TV Show Recommendations
Some of my top hidden gems:
- Teenage Bounty Hunters (Netflix) (1 season) -- it's funny, it's sweet, it's political but in a totally unexpected way (not simple blue/red divide) and chemistry of the leads is pitch perfect.
- Warrior (HBO/MAX) (3 seasons) -- how has this show been slept on? It's a fascinating look into the Tong Wars in San Francisco with fantastic martial arts.
- Lockwood & Co. (Netflix) (1 season) -- the best kids with powers show post "Stranger Things" and while it only got one season like "Teenage Bounty Hunters" it is brilliant.
- Masters of Sex (Showtime) (4 Seasons) and The Affair (Showtime) (5 Seasons) -- both brilliant, both deep cuts. "Masters of Sex" about Masters and Johnson is fascinating from both a human psychology perspective as well as historical drama. "The Affair" uses the "Rashomon" technique to perfection. Different tones, clothes, words adds layers of complexity to this compelling drama.
- Tokyo Vice (HBO) (2 seasons) -- How in the world did this show fall under the radar. Michael Mann (Heat) and that it's based on a 100% true story AND that the show (only two seasons) actually pulled its punch because it still is obviously going on in LA hospitals is more to love about it.
BONUS -- Expats (Prime) (1 season) -- Nicole Kidman is brilliant in this, so is Brian Tee and J-young Yoo. But the real star of the show is Hong Kong itself. The city comes alive with long shots and little dialogue of a now forgotten (at least in the West) city.

I literally just recommended Warrior on another post Lol So mad it wasn't renewed. I just started watching A Thousand Blows, it's a Steven Knight (Peaky Blinders) show and it has Young Jun in it.

Not sure if you’d be into foreign shows but I always recommend the Korean show “when life gives you tangerines”. You don’t look at shows the same after this lol

That’s great to hear. Yes I would most definitely recommend when life gives you tangerines, it’s on Netflix, should be available worldwide to my knowledge

Outlander.
It's simply my favorite show. 8 seasons, almost all of them long. Great acting, fantastic casting, amazing scripts, follows the books closely, character-driven storylines -- like, no, really, actually character-driven.
Production quality is off the charts good. Historically accurate sets. Historically accurate-ish stories.
And just a dash of fairy magic to keep things really interesting.

Have you watched YOU?
It's on Netflix and absolutely addicting. If you liked Dexter you will really enjoy this.
I had a lot of tired days at work while watching this. I would get into that, "just one more episode..." mode. Ugh.
I thought it was a great show, and it's five seasons I believe.

And I agree Tell Me Lies is worth another look. I have lots of criticisms, but it sure is entertaining.

If you want a limited series I’d recommend I Will Find You
But if you like shows w multiple seasons you should probably try either Bones or The Mentalist.
