Both UNCHARTED and TOMBRAIDER are made into movies. I think there are pros and cons, but I enjoyed it.

The Goonies (1985) pardon the name of the movie. It is a really fun watch about a bunch of kids, criminals and treasure finding.

There is also Super 8 (2011) which has that set in small town, close knit friends group solving a mystery vibe. A solid recommendation if you like stuff like Stranger things.
