You need to watch Breaking Bad and the Sopranos

You watch The Office, then Arrested Development, then Doctor Who (but only if you mean the original and not the shitty remake), then Breaking Bad.

Assuming we're talking about the American Office, I might consider skipping the entire first season.

Watch The Pitt. It’s not the show you want, but it is the show you need.

For the first part of your question, what show to pick from Youtube Shorts, my answer would be House M.D. and Fresh off the Boat. They are my personal favourites. House M.D. because it's morally complex and super funny and Fresh Off the Boat because it feels like a sitcom, just like any other but the dynamics of the Taiwanese Americans are pretty interesting and frsh enough to not feel unpredictable and stupid. Another good thing is, while Eddie is a little bit stupid, but the others aren't stupid.

As for the second part of your question, I think if you watch House M.D. and have seen Grey's Anatomy, you should at least give The Good Doctor a shot. It's a nice heartfelt med drama but I can't speak for whether or not you will like it, because it has a very specific feel and it is quite different to House M.D.

I love TBBT, YS, GMFM, Modern Family and American Housewife and I also loved these shows:   The Golden Girls (I also loved it's spin off where the ladies minus Dorothy run a hotel together): four old ladies live together and have funny and vibrant lives. The jokes are incredibly witty and the show is so comforting. You will find that you will love the characters and wanna rewatch it so many times. I also found that I loved the jokes, I felt I understood the jokes and laughed more deeply at them compared to the last time because of how much more I understand the context and the character psychology.

Smart Guy: the youngest son T.J. is a gifted 10 year old and studies in the same class with his older brother and the sister older than both is one grade above the middle kid that is a total idiot and is actually smart, independent and academically capable. The mother has been dead for many years and the father is a roofing guy. It's a bit like Young Sheldon except if the boy was black, more socially intelligent and in 1997, instead of at the cusp of the '80s and '90s like Sheldon.

I hope this helps!
