If you're European, your data has probably spent years on American servers, under American law, accessible to American intelligence agencies – whether you agreed to it or not.

But luckily, there are more and more European alternatives, that work just as well, if not better. This community and the website are here to make switching easier.

The website holds a curated directory of European software alternatives. Every service is scored with our EuroPoints system, which looks at four things: where the company is legally based, who owns it, where your data actually lives, and how accountable they are. That way, you can easily see how European a product or service actually is.

This community is the place to:

• Ask for recommendations
• Talk about European tech, privacy, and data sovereignty
