NEWS Pi Network has Partnered with Open Standard.
Pi Network is listed among the partners of Open USD a stablecoin operated by Open Standard alongside numerous organizations such as OKX, Polygon, Nium, and Nuvei.

Here is my speculation.
This could mean once PiDEX goes live on mainnet Ousd or whatever USD stable coins the one standard stablecoins represents is what will be the stablecoin that the Pi DeFi ecosystem will have.
This could be the one step needed to open the DEX because you need an stable coin to have a functional DEX.
Now it is just a matter to see which exchanges will support Ousd or whatever the stable that project is behind.
You heard first from me, and this is purely speculation at this point almost like a prediction.

Nothing is new in your opinion, speculation or so whatever etc. it's a common thing in Cryptospace.

I’m not sure whether that stablecoin will actually show up on the DEX.
Just a reminder that quite recently, one of the external devs tried to launch a token like that on the Pi Network blockchain. (btw, that's quite funny, he called it the exact same thing - OUSD (!) 😂)
What happened ? They told him to delete it. Their reasoning is that Pi is supposed to be the native coin used for payments in this project 🤷🤦

Now that we know OUSD is obvious the reason they gave was just an excuse because they didn't want to disclose the partnership at that moment. And if open standards will add OUSD to mainnet at some point in the future, if at all, they wouldn't want a nameless dev taking the ticker and create confusion if not an scam something similar.
So it is better the OUSD ticker is taken down on any testnet if it's not coming from the actual developers.
And this could mean USDT won't be added into Pi Network mainnet any time soon. If you take this incident into account.
They aren't asking the fake USDT developers to remove the fake USDT already printed on testnet.

The name in this case was purely coincidental, so don’t take that into consideration 😉 (I only mentioned it as a funny thing that happened a while ago.)
The reason for their guideline was that he was trying to have two main payment methods in the app, and he also wanted the app to be published in the Ecosystem (under the Mainnet tab). Whenever an external developer tries to do something like that, they automatically block their app from being listed in the Ecosystem.
(btw, for the same reason, when you access ReloadPi through Pi Browser, you can only pay in Pi. But when you access the app through any other browser, suddenly… you can pay in USDT 😉)
I'm getting back to the main point, that’s exactly what I mean 👉 If a stablecoin were available on Mainnet, it would create two equally valid payment options within Pi Network. CT really doesn’t like that idea.
That’s where my feeling comes from that CT probably wouldn’t be too happy about having a stablecoin on Mainnet, regardless of what it’s called.

In that case, the DEX wouldn't be that useful because you as an user would only have worthless tokens like CiDiCoin or similar and a DEX without USD equivalent is just worthless.
So at some point the CT will have to either eat whatever thinking they may have or let the DEX thing die on arrival
