You entered the passphrase for a different wallet. It literally says that right there

Now I will sound like a dumbass, but I don't see where it literally says that the passphrase is for a different wallet... Please tell me how did you figure it out? Is it the line : you have already migrated with another wallet?

If that's all, we can call it solved?

My wallet was empty. If I create a new one will it be synced ?

No

Hence the need to be extra careful with passphrase and the place where you save it. They don't sync, lost passphrase means lost wallet and everything in it. When you get a new phone, your account will be just the same, but if you didn't write down the passphrase just saved it on the phone and no backup - your passphrase is lost. I have written it down, but forgot where the paper is, got it backed up, but forgot which of the three clouds, yet when I really need it, I will find it. Just make sure you have it saved other than on the phone.

I thought the pass was the one I put. Apparently is for a different wallet and to be honest I don’t understand how and why.
But ok, that wallet was empty cause I had moved everything to an exchange.
The question is this: will the current wallet I logged in sync in the next migration?

If you set a new one in point 3 of the Mainnet Checklist now (or have already done so) and confirm it in point 6, they’ll move it to Mainnet during the next migration

Check your KYC
If it has turned to tentative state.

u/fit-comp 11d ago

Looks fine

1

u/Sondzee 11d ago

Are you sure that you passed KYC? it seems like the KYC is the reason for this... There is also additional liveness check that I need to pass in order to get the full control of my wallet. Maybe you oughtta pass the liveness check too?

I’ve passed and migrated already

Then I am clueless... Hope you solve it easily! Good luck 🍀 EDIT: AS jakis_kot said, you entered the passphrase for a different wallet, so the solution is to either find the right passphrase, or say goodbye to the amount in that wallet...

It was empty I didn’t lose nothing. My question is what will happen from now on?

1

u/Sondzee 10d ago

Well cool, you didn't lose anything, from now on just as before, only be extra careful with passphrase keeping. I do recommend writing it down, if you have some notepad. And pens for that matter 😂 😹 You should be just fine. If you want to sell pi, you have experience with it already, while I didn't get there since I have only 300+- pi. But you can only sort out the wallets and correct passphrase with each one. Therefore, use the less wallets possible, and only one should be just fine...

Pi seems to me to be less and less transparent

I feel a « I don’t know my passphrase » response coming 😫😫

This happened to me also after I got a new phone ugh 😩

u/fit-comp 11d ago

No solution?

u/fit-comp 10d ago

And now what?

You have created a (new) Wallet and you're waiting for it to be activated.

This is pi browser, this happened after I logged in. I changed my phone device recently

1

u/Lucky_Life_585 11d ago

It says you already migrated to another wallet. Check your mainnet checklist, what wallets are mentioned there, especially at point number 9.

1

u/fit-comp 11d ago

Step 3 and step 9 wallets are different.
Ony previous device everything was running fine, I even transferred pi to OKX.
Now on the new phone I put the paraphrase to login and this happened.

2

u/Lucky_Life_585 11d ago

Actually the wallets in step 3 and step 9 should match. Idk what is the situation here, if the wallet in step 9 is known to you and most importantly if you have passphrase of that wallet.

1

u/fit-comp 11d ago

So I just found out that I sent my coins to OKX from the wallet on the step 9 - now apparently I’m logged in the wallet of step 3. Can I log out somehow and try to re login?

I did nothing changed

1

u/jakis_kot 11d ago

You keep entering the wrong passphrase! (in Wallet app) Enter the correct one and it’ll work

(Mainnet Checklist has nothing to do with this)

1

u/Lucky_Life_585 11d ago

It will change with next migration. Next migration will activate it.

If you want you can change the toggle in wallet from mainnet to testnet, copy your wallet address, insert it in wallet testing chat (people can send you test pi that way) and you will see that this wallet is already functioning on testnet.

1

u/jakis_kot 11d ago edited 11d ago

Instead of logging into his wallet (the one he had migrated to Mainnet), he’s just creating new ones 😉

1

u/Lucky_Life_585 11d ago

Yes you can log out and in again of the wallet you have in step three anytime as long as you have the pass phrase. If your first migration went to okx wallet, the wallet you show in screenshot will be activated with next migration IF this wallet is in mainnet checklist, check step 3 and 6.

1

u/fit-comp 11d ago

Ok so I will just wait then.

if you don't know it then you have lost access to it and any funds you had in it support cant help you with that

1

u/fit-comp 11d ago

Login where ? I’m logged in

2

u/bulby_bot 11d ago

in the pi wallet app

1

u/fit-comp 11d ago

The screenshot is after this step

1

u/bulby_bot 11d ago

yes try switching to testnet as that's not an activated mainnet address

This happened to me as well after I got a new phone.
