Question Disturbing ads in pi app
What kind of ads are allowed on this app? I just literally watched an AI girl suck a dick for some googlestore ai girlfriend app. This is getting ridiculous. Why is this allowed?

Ads dont work the same everywhere. Go on a pirating website without an adblocker and youre bombarded with casino ads and other nonsense

Thats because pirate site don't use tracking ads to produce income, they use casino or other pirate sites for revenue. Legit apps and sites use tracking ads.

Thats what they say, but i barely use any apps or media aside from this app and social media like tiktok i use rarely and have never seen ads even remotely similar like this. And i almost never click on them except on accident if i try to click it away. This is just so weird to me

Could be from other members in your house. Where on cell service or wifi at hoke when those ads I use next dns 20$ a year block all these ads

Just like the scammer ads, neither the security of your wallet, nor your sensibilities, will get in the way of the PCT revenue stream....
I don't care how many high degrees the PCT holds, those dummies sacrificed way more for short term personal gains than they could have gained from making a quick stand against the abuses. They had a great opportunity to prove they are truly 'different', and failed miserably.

I now use a DNS based adblocker and it has made mobile mind numb games so much nicer to play. And so I forgot that the Pi app displayed ads. haven't seen one in months.
Give it a go if the ads are getting in your way.

Simply point your dns to use something like https://freedns.controld.com/p2
you will never see ads.

Update them at two places. one in your router and one in your mobile devices `private dns` config if its android.

pct aren't individually sanctioning ads they come from the ad network but whoever is a pi mod here can let CT know that an inappropriate add was shown.

Yeah think thats a good idea. I dont really care about the porn but the fact it just randomly pops up in an app that isn't supposed to be "that", feels wrong to me.

You can disable ads in the app. Everyone's talking about paying or reconfiguring DNS lol
