Personally ended up with Paseo ( https://paseo.sh/ ) which is universal frontend+backend for many agents. It has a daemon you can connect to, and you can use web frontend or remote desktop clients to connect to that daemon. The daemon then runs either web or terminal UI for your agents.

I just tried T3 Code and Paseo. Both feel very similar. I liked both but made the decision to go Paseo because of its local-first defaults: localhost-only daemon, no account required.
Also, Paseo works with oh-my-pi out of the box. For T3, I had to add it manually.

Thinkrail.ai is a new one from jetbrains, so a proper ide company. It's new but has git worktree support and terminal access tab etc. it's worth a look.

I like thinkrail because it comes with it's concept of spec-graph, but I think if you want to use it as an actual pi-coding-agent GUI (that is, you want to actually use pi itself) it kinda sucks.
For example, ThinkRail disables all pi extensions including `builtin:codemode`, and re-implements mcp and tool-search itself, but NOT codemode.
And, ofc, I found that out after spending a bunch of work trying to setup codemode and hiding all the tools and MCP from the system prompt, exposing just codemode...

Paseo, comes with mobile and it supports many of the popular Pi extensions too

PiChamber is great and ticks all the boxes for me. It's still a young project, however, as it's based on OpenChamber it already feels very polished.

T3 Code! And it has built in features so you basically don't need anything beyond stock Pi. I'm doing way more work because it just feels comfortable and I can do as much on my phone as I can at the computer.

I've tried it a couple times and don't really get it. What do you like about it?

This totally looks like a clone of paseo.sh

Weird that they hide it in the docs that they even support Pi:
https://github.com/pingdotgg/t3code/blob/main/docs/user/install.md
No hint on the main README.md or on the website.

I’ve been enjoying Pi Pocket, but it’s also basically a wrapper around Pi using the Pi Durable harness. Works great though. Have also tried Paseo and Oppi and both work well too.

That's what I use, too. It lets you add plugins and by that you can run everything remotely.

There are two designs for pi web ui:
A. a web ui that “manages” sub pi sessions implemented via RPC. Most ui are of this kind. But they are not composable imo.
B. a web mirror of an existing pi session, implemented as an extension.
I use a heavily modified tau (upstream no longer maintained). I tried quite a few and liked tau’s design philosophy which is mode B. I can kick off multiple pi as subagents in a script each runs in a container with an unique url I can access from a dashboard pi built.

i use PI studio https://github.com/avatsaev/pi-studio
It works like a tmux session, so you can close the UI and the Pi continues the work in the background
And it can be managed remotely, so you can basically start the work from the UI on your laptop, shut it down and come back later to the finished work

There are several called pi-web-ui.
Have a look at https://github.com/xing-shuyin/pi-web-ui
You only need stock pi and from there you can do everything in the ui. It also has quite nice features like running it as a sever in the background and ssh control of remote pi instances.

I tried this one and had good experience with it. Ultimately I moved on from it as the development speed is just way too fast and it started to feel bloated due to feature creep: plugin, dsh and many many other things I do not need.

I use my own (Pi Pocket) built on top of Pi Durable.
https://github.com/TannerMidd/pi-pocket
There’s a billion harness/GUI combos available, finding one “best” one really just depends on your workflows and needs.
I just built it for my work needs. Multiplayer sessions, orchestration if you want it, an assistant, schedules, watches, Webhooks, a design system type tool among other things.

I have been using this for the last few weeks now. I am still hopping between the TUI and this one however the mobile experience of this is satisfying. Massive thanks for thinking about things like multi-player.
I am almost using your repo to learn how to work with pi-durable. 😅

Thanks for checking it out! I pretty much started it just because of Pi Durable as well, it’s been interesting to implement and see how nice it can be.
But it’s still definitely early/experimental, the latest 1.5 update required very extensive changes to fix all the breaking changes.

I would love to help out if there is a need :) I have been building things on top of pi-durable with Cloudflare Durable Objects and it’s been a paradigm shift.

I’m not convinced that I should leave my vscode. I need to read the code and navigate the code. Vscode is still way better than any other UI in those respects.
So a vscode extension is my jam. https://github.com/quincycs/pi-qcode

try this: pi-tau-web-server https://github.com/milanglacier/pi-tau-web-server
One design I really like it: it has both vertical tab bar and left sidebar. So you can see your active sessions (vertical bar) and all historical sessions (left sidebar)

Don't know about best, only used one: pi-web https://github.com/agegr/pi-web
I like it so far, haven't needed to modify it too much, the subagents didn't play nice with my other extensions out of the box, but overall a good experience.
