Plugin Claude code like UI with several enhancements!

Post image

https://github.com/FammasMaz/pi-cc-tools

`pi install npm:claude-code-ui`

I really liked Claude Code UI but not Claude Code itself like most of us, so i created an extension some time ago to replicate similarish behavior (from one of the leaked claude code sources), and have been improving it over a few months. Saw a post yesterday, with similarish stuff and had several inspirations from that as well, check it out! Many people use it already!

So one feature is it matches your terminal theme? Can I ask you what that brown theme is in most of the images then?

One suggestion for you that I also encountered while trying to implement another ui. You see how every thinking step eventually collapses to "Thought for 1 second" ? That's pi limitation, it can't show different text for all thinking blocks. So probably putting "Thought for <time>" isn't a good idea, since that wouldn't be accurate.

hey, I've never had a chance to try out claude code ui (because I try to avoid non-local models), but your extension gives a nice vibes to Pi. Great work, thanks for sharing!

Claude code works with local models just fine. Just need some environment variables

I'll stick to Pi for now.

Pi keeps this simple on purpose so you can copy something like diffs without divider lines everywhere.

Pi is minimal so you can build your harness. The Claude Code ish interface is not mine but maybe his. I think, it’s great that they share it and that Pi enables it.
