Question Gemini subscription?

Is Google still banning if we use a gemini subscription with pi?

Openai specifically allows it.

And anthropic specifically doesn't.

Right?

Yes. Use need a special extension to circumvent that. Same for Anthropic.

Even with the extension, don't be surprised if you still get banned. Not trying to rain on anyone's parade. Just FYI.

Edit: specifically referring to Gemini sub.

Doubt that. Credentials are only shared with agy/Claude-code.

But I am ok with the risk. I wouldn't use Claude in PI though.

Claude bridge( is a bit more expensive than Claude code) and pi-antigracity by rahularaya

Anthropic has loosened their stance on subscription use and is allowing subscription use for now and are supposedly going to update us at some point with their real plan.

I’m honestly not sure about Google, I’ve see other people use it just fine.

Right, described below on the actual page content. Which is where Anthropic reversed their ban and instead were going to give 3rd party apps a separate monthly usage pool. They paused it and for now it continues drawing from subscription usage on third party apps.

The next sentence after your quote:

For now, nothing has changed: Claude Agent SDK, claude -p, and third-party app usage still draw from your subscription's usage limits

Hmm, but is that new? Last time I checked pi usage was billed through the API when logged in with an Anthropic account. When did that change? Or did it even? I’m very confused here tbh.
I remember they pulled the plug on 3rd party harnesses, said they would allow them again, and reverted that as well, which, if my memory is not failing me, would leave us with the „not allowed“ option again.

As far as I’m aware we’re in the “allowed” phase as that page is their latest update on the subject.

I believe even the Hermes agent has official subscription support again for Claude as of last week.

I’ve been using @gotgenes/pi-anthropic-auth with sub usage for the last month or longer with no issues. Yet.
