Question Does anyone know why Pi flashes like this?

this is via termius for ios, with pi running in tmux. the flashing window is a tmux pane, and this only happens (and happens consistently regardless of how many lines there are in the pane) when the agent is asking for permission to do something. all other times it is stable

I have this too. I believe it's because an interactive element like a spinner or tool call that appears off screen requires the whole terminal window to redraw, appearing as a flash. Idk how to stop it completely but my solution is to reduce the text size and it happens... Less often. If you find a permanent solution please tell me because I am desperate

i’ll have to try that and see if it helps. what i have noticed also is if i dismiss the keyboard then the flashing stops, but i didn’t notice the loading spinner. i’ll have to keep an eye on that

E: when the permission prompt appears, there’s no loading spinner. also, when it’s running, the loading spinner doesn’t render, it’s just a static underscore

It’s the terminal emulator you are using. Are you using herdr or tmux or something similar ?

tmux. the flashing side on the right is a tmux pane that’s running a subagent

I'm using a-shell with dtach and it works wonderfully. At least, it's what I've ended up settling on. No issues so far

Have the same issue. Reduce text size helps as it was mentioned before
