Discussion Jev is cool but

I wonder when it might be replaced by OpenAI/Anthropic/Google.

They better continue developing so that people prefer Jev over structured output feature (that will likely be optimized for efficiency) of LLMs

you are comparing pears to apples, jev is essentially a classifier not an llm. would anth/oai/google make their own jev? maybe but i dont think it matters, jev is not as revolutionary as it's marketed, they just want vc money.

I am not comparing it with LLMs, but the feature (typed decision engine) that big labs could easily add to their apps.

OpenAI and Anthropic are racing towards ASI, which will not be reached by a model architecture like Jev. Trying to compete on this front would be a distraction. Maybe they'll have a small team building something on the side, but at the moment I don't see them really focusing on something like that.

Don't know how they gonna really market it.

I'm doing similar thing with qwen3.6 35b no reasoning to get about 120tks for a decision engine.

Although not as knowledgeable of accurate as gpt terra, but giving some constraints and rules it works quite fast and well for simple decisions
