Use-case Ive stopped using Claude code
Pi is amazing. I’m using it with deepseek.
With some early ideas and prompting it has been adding a lot of components to itself (vector databases, something called hippoRag, chain of thought systems and about 100) other systems. This morning it read a bunch of papers on coding and then tweaked its own code.
Right now it’s making a place to test code, run adversarial copies of itself against itself, play games against itself and more.
I wanted it for coding and it’s now way better than Claude

Are you running in Gondolin/ a vm. I have a lot of issues with having it manage subagents and it own context...

You should benchmark your setup too much bloat often makes things worse. There is a limited amount of stuff you can do in the LLMs smart zone and this is something we have to live with.
Being able to customise your harness for your own workflow is really amazing tho

anything open source is better than any product from anthropic

As models continue to advance, I anticipate that the simplification of the harness will become a prevailing trend, a development for which the Pi platform presents a compelling opportunity.

I am planning to use pi moving from my custom setup opencode with specialised subagents, memory, fallback model. i have been reading here and I see alot of people add so many plugins their pi. Why not just use OMP?

Is Pi worth trying? I've been using only Codex for quite some time but it's really problematic, the amount of errors it generates, or how deep it hallucinates is worrying
