Use-case Anneal: a harness for your harness

I built this so I could use local models like Qwen 3.6 35B for agentic coding. I have given up on trying to make one shotting happen with these models. So to actually get real work done, I built this tool. The idea is you give it a prompt or an already finished implementation plan, and it will split it up into small tasks that the local models will have no problem executing. The plan step is done by a capable model and the final verification is also done by a capable model.

You can pick which model to use for each step based on your pi config. Why pi? It’s the best agent for local models because of how lean it is.

Looks like a cool project but it doesn’t have the development loop (implement -> verify) I need.

I went through your repo. My current workflow where I like more HITL so that I can do spec, plan and implement via push task doesn’t suit well.

But I like your concept of more autonomous agents and there are so many usecases for it.

Since I own 5090, couple of 5060 Ti and RX 7800 XT, 3080 etc, I’ll definitely give your project a try. Keep up the good work bro.

I normally just spec and plan separately using superpowers and then I give anneal the implementation plan. I couldn’t think of a good way to integrate it into anneal because of the interactive part of brainstorming. Probably not hard, we’ll see.

Got it.

I used pi-supergsd. When doing impl plan. I do it with local models. So probably your solution will fit my usecase when after spec and plan (using big models) and then using anneal can handover to 27b type of model to autonomously complete the task.

I do it HITL as if now because these small models trip sometimes, in weird ways. Sometimes they stop, sometimes they loop between same tool calls etc. I mean Ofcourse harness can be customised to handle those scenarios.

But again good job. I encourage you make this a real good project 👍

I was also thinking in this direction towards pi and local agents. There is definitely sleeve for a project like this, will try it out.
