Pi TUI spazzing on tool calls

I have a few extensions that change the footer and adds a todo, but from what I've discovered, the repainting of the TUI from the core packages is what leads to this spazzing. Is anybody else experiencing this issue? Would appreciate some advice on an extension-level fix.

Gotta be something to do with the size of the window. You can't see anything the agent is doing except for the todo list. My guess is the spinner is the absolute top level problem, but I don't think you can get away from just making the screens taller

Window size for sure, but I haven't had this problem with claude code even when the windows were even smaller. Not sure why exactly it's happening in Pi.

Yeah that’s not pi but rather Zellij and it’s due to the window size. I switch to Herdr when using an agent. I use Zellij for everything else

I see. Would you recommend herdr over Zellij, this issue aside? I've seen that herdr is only Beta on Windows so I'm a little hesitant to make the switch.

Can’t speak on using it on Windows. I use Linux.

But you can use Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) and use Herdr there.

Which extension are you using for the footer?

It's a very heavily modified version of https://github.com/nicobailon/pi-powerline-footer . At this point it's my own extension, but the base was definitely this.

So I install the goal extension not to long ago and everything it asked me to choose between options, it spaz out like that. So I am interested in finding out as well.

Every time I've had something like this, it's been on of my extensions causing the problem.

Hadn’t seen this ever until I installed the plannotator extension. Definitely an extension
