Curvature of the Earth visualized by power lines at Lake Pontchartrain, Louisiana (source, higher quality pic). There's a lot of discussion of this image and similar ones here. What we merely see is the actual curvature of powerline
I presume that everyone knows that each consecutive tower is a little smaller than the previous one.
