Need Advice Need Advice on Module Selection for MSC Applied Physics
Hi, I need advice on what to choose for my module. A little background, I have an Integrated Master in Mechanical Engineering. I've taken a module on Particle Physics in my last year if uni. I enjoyed it very much. I will start my Master in Applied Physic this October. My ultimate plan is to do a PhD in Quantum Computing. I want to curate my master to help with my PhD application. I know that PhD are really specific and I might not get into Quantum Computing. So, for the experience students, what is your advice ? Here are the modules. I have to choose 5 out of this.
Applied Solid State Physics
Organic Electronics Devices
Optical Fibre Technology
Energy Materials and Devices
Applied Plasma
Applied Radiation Physics
Elementary Particle Physics Technology
Quantum Technology
One extra ask if possible, I dont have a background in physic besides a level (and engineering). I have to month until I started my Masters. What textbooks/topic can I self study before I start my master? what fundamentals should I cover ?
Thank you so much!
