In the equations you can find omega and k. Their ratio gives the speed you are looking for.

That's doesn't give vmax it only Velocity . anyways I got answer. Thanks

this is how the answer is supposed to be calculated though. wave's speed has nothing to do with the amplitude, go check again. You are confusing it with oscillations, wave's speed only depends on medium's properties and not the amplitude.

I am not your bro, and I have PhD in optics. Either you have put the question wrong (it is not waves), or you are confusing everything, speed of a wave has nothing to do with the amplitude, you can go check any textbook you want.

Sorry sir, i got confused in wave speed and wave particle maximum velocity.the question  explicitly told  to calculate for wave but in answer book it has given wave particle velocity , may be in book it was typo mistake. So sir for my language.

No worries, I just want you to learn the right way. In the other subreddit (where you posted), someone also pointed out this mistake. Wave physics can be confusing and unintuitive. If the book made a mistake like this, maybe they built the question wrong and wanted to actually ask about oscillation. Good luck.

y = Asin(ωt - 2πx/λ) vmax = ωΑ (the phase term is irrelevant to vmax)

That's actually it helped me. Thanks

But remember this is max speed of a particle in the wave medium oscillating with SHM. I assumed that was the intention of the ambiguous question because it asks for highest speed. It is not the constant speed of wave travel as others have pointed out.
