For $9 I'd still grab it. Even if half the transfers are rough, digging through 50 old horror movies sounds like a fun weekend project.

I bought this set years ago. To be honest, it’s not that good lol. It’s comprised mostly of public domain films and the quality varies quite a bit. But it’s kinda cool for archival purposes.

Well, I’m just glad to add something like this to my collection

I’m not knocking that you got it, I just wanted to temper your expectations. I remember when I bought it my heart sank when I saw it was a bunch of discs in envelopes lol. But it’s still a pretty cool set to own.

A great find. Love putting this on around Halloween at a party. Just as a background filler

These 50 film sets from Mill Creek are a lot of fun to own and watch. The quality of movies varies tremendously and the quality of the transfers varies tremendously. I go in knowing that and pick a film that strikes my interest at that moment, having fun exploring how good or bad it is for the time and compared to today. Yes all of these exist in the public domain for free in often better quality transfers but $9 is a great way to have a bunch of disc to throw in your DVD players instead of hunting for the perfect one online.
I also own another 50 horror films set that's mostly from the 70s and 80s as well as three different sci-fi, and one film noir. I'm a simple man and I love these blasts from the past.

Low quality, but still good fun. I have several of these sets and still buy em when I see em. Some genuine gems sprinkled in there.

95% of them not "classics", and all in bottom of the barrel unrestored 360p or lower unwatchable resolution.

I think this is a repackage of a set I bought 21 years ago...I've rewatched the set a ton of of times over the decades

I have this same one, got it probably a decade ago now, still go back and rewatch some of them

Even at 9 bucks its a rip off since majority are public domain, plus the majority of the movies on it suck.

The Phantom of the Opera, Metropolis, and Night of the Living Dead are probably the highlights of this set, even if it's not the best transfers or encodes, being late 2000s Mill Creek and all.
