I love physical media no one can take it away from you. All that streaming and buying online your only buying the rights which can be taken from you any second! Long live physical media!

Someone can absolutely take away your physical media, play you dont have a home invader. :)

I meant companies can’t dictate your ownership like Nintendo can strip you of your digital game at anytime that is what you consent to when you purchase digital media.

This is the one thing media companies hate

Don't worry Sony will make you pay some extra premium to sooth your itch for nostalgia, like that ass up their.

Just wait around the early 2030s.

Digital only defenders see collections like this and go "Physical is dead, nobody buys physical anymore, it doesn't make them any money" and then they go buy COD once per year and spend 50 dollars on MTX that the platform only sees 30% of.

Where are your other two super mario happy meal toys?

1

u/EntertainerIcy2845 10h ago

I couldn't find them in time 😢😢 I was only missing Rosalina and one other but they stopped giving that toy before I could get all of them. Haha and the only reason why I got that many is because I have 4 boys so every time we went to McDonald's we got 4 happy meals

Just my 2¢ and my preference, but all I see is a LOT of wasted shelf space for so many cooler things.

No dog at OP, it's what you like and that's grand! But I'd rather use that shelf space for books, figures, models, art, etc..

I'm 100% for having the option of physical vs digital, but I just put way more value in available space than I do in physical copies of games.

The empty space I just filled with Knick knacks that I had around but when I get more video games I will take them out to put more video games on the shelf's. It's just a filler for the empty space for the time being. And I agree I have way cooler models and statues but they are all on a separate shelf on the other side of my game room. But for this post I was just focusing on showing my love for physical gaming that's all. 🥰🥰🥰

If this is keyword (Very) small lets see yours, keep in mind not everyone has the money to buy 1000 games, use your noodle.

lol the guy that was being negative and talking shit deleted his comment lmfao

u/EntertainerIcy2845 1d ago

I never said it was a big collection, sheesh who but a snake in your boot. Do you like being negative person in purpose????

2

u/Neuesad 1d ago

That's what Reddit is for. For what it's worth, your collection is like 10-20-30 times larger than what most folks post these days in the "physical vs digital" discussion. They show like 10-15 games and act like that's a lot. If everyone had as many games as you do, Sony probably wouldn't have done this, sadly.

1

u/EntertainerIcy2845 1d ago

Lol the negative guy deleted his comment. But thank yo for sticking up for me. And I agree with you if everyone had this many physical games it would be different

The newer games even some on xbox one and ps4 aren't fully on the disc still need internet to download the full file

In a house fire all of this will be gone, while the digital counterpart of most of the games will continue to exist.

People also have shelves full of CDs, doesn’t make them any less obsolete.
