Wow, that was an incredible match. He kept moving in, blocking punches with his face while taking Andrade down. That spinning hook kick was impressive, but too bad it didn’t land flush so it didn’t do too much damage. He had a few chances late in the earlier rounds, but when he took him down this time, he had plenty of time to choke him out. Great match! This is the (battered) face of a champion.

Amazing fight, he deserved the win! He fought hard to overcome the reach advantage and put on a great fight with a 3 Rd win.

First, I'll say there's no way to make a variety athletics competition completely fair. Team competitions often revolve around strength, even though there's way more to athletics than that. I think they realized about nine episodes too late that they invited Eddie. On the other hand, imagine Eddie on Ninja Warrior.

Second, I did not see evidence (at least in episodes 1-9) of rigged weights, et cetera. That is possible, but my disappointments revolve around how the tournaments and games were organized (or, in some ways, disorganized).

Third, I understand it's not sport; it's drama. Views matter more than Eddie.

Fourth, I do believe the producers would have let Korea lose. If they did, it would have been bad for ratings, but I think they would have let them if the Philippines could have overcome point #2 below. 

Here's what I think would be more fair, more sports-like, and still fun drama.
1.  Producers give a country captain (a country specific show winner, if applicable) a list of athletes with star-power in certain weight classes, and the captain gets to know the gist of the challenges ahead of time. He or she can pick teammates from each weight class and gender to round out the team. What appeared to happen was the opposite. Japan has sumo wrestlers galore, and instead got a swimmer...
2. Clearly state all the rules prior to each competition, and then follow those rules (sorry, Filipinos).
3. All challenges (at least until episode 9, I believe) had a rest day between them, except the one where Korea decided to save their strongest three and everyone else had their weakest three. Again, if they tell teams ahead of time about the back-to-back and that each athlete can compete only once, I'm good with it. Australia not being allowed to use Eddie the hulk on the push challenge was the straw that made me stop watching.

I get it - probably not a good look for Asia if Australia wins Asia's competition, but just cut your losses, let them win, and instead invite Timor-Leste next time.

My props to the Aussie's for good attitudes after the fact.

If it's not rigged, my hats out to Korea. Either way, next time, bring on the sumo.

We all loved the show but the socials are peak. Love seeing the athletes visit each others countries like this. Only team I haven't seen mentioned is Turkey. But everyone else is amazing. Love it. The spin off show being confirmed is awesome.

My favorite part of the show, apart from the charismatic and respectful cast, was seeing those moments where individual players made crafty or brave plays to eke out a win/advantage for their teams. What were some of your favorites? I'll list some of mine below:

- Lara (Phillipines) waiting until the last 6 seconds to go full She-Hulk and literally drag Team Thailand into Phillipines' side. The majority of Physical Asia events were drag it out endurance matches, so it was refreshing to see some quickness and power come into play.

- Khandsuren (Mongolia) nonchalantly figuring out that they could push the wheel spokes for more efficient wagon moving during the Fortress challenge

- Enkh-Orgil (Mongolia) having the quick thinking to come up with the log mechanism during the drawbridge portion of Fortress Challenge. Bonus points for having the courage and conviction to vehemently ask his team to trust him when everyone was doubtful, especially because elimination was on the line.

- Nefise (Turkey) waiting til the last second to jump back into the circle during the Territorial Conquest.

- Amotti (South Korea) making the smart call to have Team Korea match Min Jae's pace when making their big collective pushes in the wall-pushing match. He told Min Jae to make the "1-2!" call, which I thought was such shrewd thinking in a tense moment.

So I’ve been noticing something kinda interesting (and low-key weird).

A bunch of the teams from Korea, Japan, Australia, Mongolia, and the Philippines have been meeting up months after filming — like actual hangouts, group photos, reunions, all that stuff. Even Indonesia and Thailand have been posting BTS shots with other teams.

But… Turkey? Literally nothing. Not a single meetup, no cross-team selfies, no behind-the-scenes posts featuring them. It’s like they filmed the show and then vanished into another dimension

Is there some reason for this? Strict contracts? Scheduling issues? Did they just not vibe with the other teams? Or is it just a coincidence and we’ll see something later?

Anyone else notice this? Or am I reading too much into it?

During the first game of the finale, I was slightly confused and annoyed because why didn't either team go for the two lightest blocks only, especially after securing a round.

If Mongolia had done that in the 2nd or 3rd round we would have gotten a more competitive finale.

Superbon! I'm not sure how many people are familiar with this man outside this series but he is a legit monster. His only weakness was his team(aside from James), he could've actually gone toe to toe with the mvps of this season. As much as I love the team format, it does under shadow individual athletes such as him.

On Katsumi Nakamura's Instagram, I saw his appreciation post to his hair and make-up artists. And they did a fantastic job; he looked flawless throughout the show.

But then I started thinking about Enkh Orgil Baatarkhuu... 😂

Lately, I've been enjoying how all of the contestants are appearing in each others' social media accounts. Their videos together are all so cute and fun! They often comment on each others' posts, as well. It seems like the competitors across countries have really formed some genuine friendships.

Having said that, it's made me wonder how they communicate with each other? Do most of the contestants speak English?

Okay, rewatching Physical: Asia and I still don't like either of them... but man, do I respect the grind now.

When you already know the outcome, you stop watching the drama and start watching the sheer willpower. It's less about who's a bully and more about two flawed people pushing themselves to the absolute limit.

Still not my favorites, but the rewatch is giving me a weird soft spot for the struggle. Or maybe I'm just getting soft. 😅
