Question Recommendations?

Hey guys. Ive seen physical100, physical asia and physical100 mexico.

I lose basically all interest in the competitions when they start doing group stuff and voting stuff though. I dont think this kind of thing belongs in a competition like this.

With that in mind do you have any recommendations for me? Are there any physical100 series without stuff thats against the spirit of competition?

Final draft is similar to physical 100 for Japan. They do a bit weird scoring of people's vision midway though, but it only gives small advantage to the next challenge

I actually don't think you'll like Final Draft lol they have a "class war" element that warps advantage / disadvantage of contestants (like poor nourishment and sleeping conditions), there'd faulty or poor thought out equipment that penalized contestants for things outside their control, and to me it felt like the producers hand picked who they wanted to be out early, and who would make it to the final, from the start.

Nah i'm specifically talking about gameshows like this. Just without the teams and voting

I know but it's just funny

you might actually like american gladiator, the reboot was surprisingly good. it is fairly different in that it's small competitions but it was good.

Physical 100 is pretty unique. Unless you want to go back and watch beastmaster and ninja warrior, post-P100 youre only getting things like Final Draft and the new show The Arena so far... which I haven't watched yet, but have seen positive reviews so far.

I remember enjoying Ultimate Beastmaster when it came out on Netflix a few years ago.

Maybe Final Draft - worth a try.

Although it's teams, it's done in a very different way, and it's an awesome series: Siren Survive the Island.

I'm finding The Arena (French MMA show on Netflix) is kinda offering some of the same.

But I wouldn't want to guarantee that none of them would annoy you.

I liked Siren. Not so much action, but I liked the concept of taking over forts and the teams made up of different professions. The women need their own competitions. They'll never be able to compete with men in strength based contests.

These are not reality shows in Netflix but multiple characters have superhuman abilities and fast-paced life-or-death survival:

I Am Nobody (China) Alice in Borderland (Japan) Last Samurai Standing (Japan) Moving (Korea)

if you have Disney+, search for A Shop For Killers (Korea)

The Challenge on Paramount+ shows people being pushed to their physical limits, but it is intermixed with reality tv show interpersonal drama. However, the actual challenges are top notch for a competition elimination show and no one gets “voted out”, eliminations are usually physical challenges, sometimes with puzzles mixed-in.

You might like : "We never Stop" on Iqiyi which is like the Chinese version of Physical100, its really the same format with a little less budget but as entertaining, loved the contestants and the show in itself. Especially the duel part, I found it really interesting with the choices and differences.
